Whenever I’ve been secretly critical of Trump,

or other politicians, or other believers, or other humans, I’ve always been confident-I-knew-what-was-best.  Impossible to judge, unless I’m confident-I-know-what’s-best.  ShepherdDave.  Analyzer, critic of all.  Leaning on my own understanding, wise in my own eyes.  Clear-sighted about the weaknesses/sins of Trump, but blind to ways I’m just like Trump, down deep on a root level.  Humility challenged.  Somebody wannabe.  Like Janet says, “You spot it, you got it.”

DumbSheepDave is willing to lose all he has, content to be a nobody, pitied by others, and he enjoys everything and everyone, just as they are, including his circumstances, including the harrrd, knowing that his ShepherdJesus is sovereign over all, worthy of trust.

–ShepherdDave, who sees the problem in others, and sometimes in himself — when he’s been freshly convicted of the sin of independence/confidence-he-knows-what’s-best so he might momentarily be DumbSheepDave, enjoying the bliss of Jesus-dependency/humility, so the pre-believers around him might experience Jesus
