why aren’t people awed by the Jesus in me? Because there is so little of Him in me, and so much of me in me? So much Dave-agenda, Dave-dependency, and so little Jesus-dependency? So much self-confidence, so little confidence in Jesus and His genius plan for my life, and others’ lives? So much Jesus-bless-my-agenda praying? So much using Jesus to get what I want?
Whyzat?
Because I’m awed so little by Him, and awed so much by human somebodies, outside and inside the Church, and awed so much by me and my accomplishments? Tragically sad that ShepherdDave has the name of Jesus, but not the benefit of Jesus – other-worldliness. Sad for ShepherdDave. Sad for those around him, both believer and pre-believer.
–DumbSheepDave, more other-worldly – loving/joyful/peaceful, sometimes, whenever the Shepherd’s Spirit convicts him of the sin of worldliness/pride/independence, wondering if the pre-believers around him are more awed by the Jesus in him in 2014
