so WHAT? My human-wisdom is all pumped, but so WHAT? My human-wisdom has NEVER delivered happiness to me. My human-wisdom knows NOTHing about what I really need today in the way of circumstances. Jesus knows. Others may THINK they know what would be best for me. Only Jesus knows. The human-wisdom of others, and my own human-wisdom, are the enemies of my happiness. Always have been.

When things go south, so WHAT? Suffering is OVERrated as a problem, and UNDERrated as a benefit. Suffering produces perseverance, then character, then hope/faith/dependency/humility. Jesus USES suffering for MY good, and HIS glory. But human-wisdom convinces me that suffering is to be avoided at all costs. Jesus-dependency is the silver lining of suffering. Ahhh. Pearl of great price, worth selling all to get.
