The problem with news reports

is their atheistic perspective.  Nobody reports the news with a Jesus-centered perspective, or even a God-centered perspective.  This doesn’t bother followers of Jesus because we are so USED to looking at our daily lives from an atheistic perspective — UP TO ME.  And we’re so used to FUNCTIONING as atheists as we go through our day.  UP TO ME.

We get up in the morning, read our Bibles, pray, and then go about functioning the rest of the day as atheists.  UP TO ME.

But when I’m all alone in my car, no radio on, or when walking alone, it helps me so much to THANK Him for everything, just as it is, including my atheistic bent, and the other harrrd aspects of my life that my flesh wishes were different, easier.  This helps me realize that I’m NOT alone, that it’s NOT up to Dave, that my SovereignShepherdJesus reigns over every detail of my life, that this is His story, not mine.  Which helps me relax, be curious and expectant to see what He does NEXT, in me, others, circumstances.  Ahhh.
