The only time I’m joyful,




is when one of my idols/addictions delivers what I want.  Something goes my way.  Ministry, health management, bargain, sports team, investment, brilliant decision, family relationship, efficiency, production, automotive perfection.  Problem is, that which brings joy also brings excruciating pain when things go south.  Idolatry/addiction is not the pathway to happiness.
