The mark of a humble Christian

is thankfulness for everything just as it is, and everyone just as we are, especially irritating people. Seeing SovereignJesus behind everything and everyone.


The mark of a proud Christian is confidence based on human-wisdom -- confidence-I-know-what's-thankable-and-what's-not, and confidence-I-know-what's-best, and confidence in assessing/judging everything and everyone. Oblivious to Jesus' sovereignty. And His Lordship.


Seculars are drawn to humble Christians, repelled by proud ones.
