Thank You, Jesus, that You don't

let me get the LIFE from my circumstances that my human-wisdom so passionately desires. My human-wisdom HATES You thwarting its plans to deliver happiness to me. Thank You that You don't give me what my human-wisdom wants for me, but rather give me what's BEST for me. Every. Single. Time. Without exception. Because You love me way-better than my human-wisdom does.

Thank You, Jesus, that it's so harrrrd living in this world where human-wisdom comes at me from every direction, outside the Church, but inside too, encouraging me to lean on my own understanding, be wise in my own eyes. Thank You that grace is for those of us who struggle to believe You're actually in control of everyone and everything, naively believing our lives are UP TO US. Thank You for the convicting work of Your Spirit, opening our eyes to see the problem, so we can freshly CONFESS. And be momentarily compelling to the seculars around us.
