Only DaveTheFool imagines

improvement to Jesus' plan for his present life. Yes, HumanWisdomDependentDave knows a multitude of ways Jesus could do better by him. Problem is, Dave's human-wisdom has NEVER delivered happiness, only addiction to getting Dave's way. Terrible, horrible, no-good, very-bad way to live. Claiming to be a Jesus-follower, but in reality, following his human-wisdom, and the human-wisdom of others. DaveTheFool is to be pitied above all men, because he does not experience the benefit of Jesus in THIS life, except when freshly convicted by the Spirit of his human-wisdom-dependency. Sadly, the blessing doesn't last long, because of the pervasiveness of human-wisdom coming at him from every direction.

What I love about 12-step programs,

is admitting we are powerless to change ourselves. Verrry radical message for Christians. Opposite of what we traditionally hear in Church -- we have the Spirit, we can do ALL things through Christ
