We're all bad Christians, because there's a dark side -- sinful side, to EVERYthing we do or think. We live in denial of how bad we are, but are clear-sighted about the faults of others. Truth is, none of us are satisfied with Jesus and His imputed worthiness -- we want some of our own by doing good, being respected, admired, making sure the outsides of our cups are clean and shiny.

Grace is not for good Christians, but only for us bad ones, whose eyes have been momentarily opened by the Spirit to see how much worse we are than we have imagined. So we can CONFESS. Ahhh.
