EVERYthing in my life

is designed to grow me more Jesus-dependent/Jesus-content/Jesus-humble, so I’m less and less confident-I-know-what’s-best for me, our nation, other nations, the Kingdom.  Especially in the frustrating political arena.  I used to think my car was the main training tool for this, but now I see that EVERY area of my life has been carefully crafted by my SovereignShepherdJesus, to retrain me in a much-better way to live — less circumstance-dependent for my joy and peace, and more Jesus-dependent.  Frequently He lets me have my way, to show me how OVERrated independency is.  Does NOT lead to happiness.

Ahhh.  Life makes so much more sense, when Jesus, not Dave, is at the center.  When I’m thanking Him for every thing I see — online or while I’m driving, good or bad according to JudgeDave, being reminded of His sovereignty, His Grand Story.

—DumbSheepDave, increasingly thankful for how Jesus thwarts ShepherdDave’s plans/agenda, to retrain him in dependency/contentment, so the nonbelievers around him might experience the other-worldly humility and other-worldly love of Jesus
