Every single time I'm encouraged,
I'm human-wisdom-dependent. Jesus-dependents are never encouraged or discouraged by circumstances, because they don't know what's BEST, but believe their SovereignShepherdJesus knows, AND delivers the best -- every single time. Human-wisdom-dependents assess/judge everyone and everything to know what's BEST -- wise in our own eyes, leaning on our own understanding, just like any atheist. Jesus-dependents judge no one, including themselves. Jesus-dependents enjoy everyone just as we are, and everything just as it is, all according to Jesus' genius plan. No enemies, even among those who heatedly disagree with them. Only Jesus-dependents experience the peace that surpasses understanding, regardless of circumstances -- a benefit of Jesus in THIS life. Along with joy, regardless of circumstances. And seculars benefit from being around Jesus-dependents -- because other-worldly humility and other-worldly love are so compelling, attractive. And contagious.
How do Christians experience Jesus-dependency? Only by the work of Jesus’ Spirit, freshly convicting us of our human-wisdom-dependency. And it doesn’t last long, in my experience, because human-wisdom-dependency is so pervasive.
