All my life I've been corrupted by

my human-wisdom, and the human-wisdom of others -- especially experts. I love learning from experts, researching experts. I love the idea of BEING an expert. I love my human-wisdom, love being wise in my own eyes, and in the eyes of others. Human-wisdom is foundational to government, to organizations, to navigating daily life. But human-wisdom is the enemy of happiness.

The happiest humans are Jesus-dependent, do NOTHing on their own, with eyes and thoughts fixed on Jesus to see what He does NEXT, in them, others, circumstances. Shepherd of their daily lives. Lord of their daily lives. Do not lean on their own understanding, do not trust their own wisdom to know what would be best. Trust Jesus and His wisdom. The happiest humans experience an amazing peace that is vastly superior to the conditional peace experienced by human-wisdom-dependents -- nonChristian AND Christian. Jesus-dependents are compelling to surrounding seculars because of stunning humility and unconditional love.

So what can we Christians DO when we are suddenly AWARE of our human-wisdom-dependency? CONFESS. Ahhh.
